Woody Allen Takes A Chance With “Crisis In Six Scenes”

Woody Allen has crossed many lines over the years and the latest has landed the controversial director on television.
Given how so many Hollywood heavyweights have made the leap onto cable and streaming entertainment, for 80-year-old Allen — who has made dozens of films, most with the same look, same sound, and all too familiar backdrop of New York City — the shift seems a little weird.
His new show, “Crisis in Six Scenes” debuts on Amazon, Sept. 30.
“I think he feels the more he tosses up against wall, something will stick,” David Evanier, the author of “Woody: The Biography,” told the Daily News.
