Bill Gates and Oprah Among Forbes Picks For A Clinton Billionaire Cabinet

Amid news that the FBI will investigate the hacking of the Democratic National Committee’s emails and the resignation of the party’s chairwoman, Hillary Clinton and her camp probably don’t have much time to think about who she would appoint to her cabinet should she become president.
So we took a shot at suggesting a fantasy billionaire cabinet for Clinton. (We created an equivalent cabinet for Donald Trump. See that article here). Some major donors may not like the leadership style of the self-described pantsuit aficionado, but Clinton still has plenty of heavyweight moneymakers, including George Soros, on her side. Here’s who the FORBES wealth team thinks might work as part of a ten-figure-fortune cabinet:
Department of State: Bill Gates
The State Department’s mission to “shape and sustain a peaceful, prosperous, just and democratic world” bears striking similarities to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s own statement of purpose “to help all people lead healthy, productive lives.” The Microsoft co-founder, whose net worth FORBES estimates at $78 billion, doesn’t appear to be a staunch Democrat, having donated $50,000 to President Obama’s first Inauguration Day events, but also having contributed to organizations backing Republican Congressional candidates. Records filed with the Federal Election Commission indicate Gates donated to Clinton’s 2008 presidential run, but that he hasn’t yet put money toward her 2016 campaign.
